CHAPTER 11: PREPARING FOR LISTING

In the chapter 11 to story about profit, loss and barrier of SKALI in every years. Tengku Farith and his friends already try to SKALI a list in the MESDAQ but……


At 2003, it become apparent to all of SKALI that this dream was within SKALI grasp. SKALI out of the woods, our fortunes had reversed quite spectacularly over the past three years….

Beginning at 2000 to 2002 profit increase. After at 2000 SKALI undergo but an improvement over RM9.6 million loss in 2000. The next year, earnings Tengku Farith up and have profit is very boast of RM92000….

But at 2003, very disappoint because dipped by half effect really slowed down that year due to the SARS and the Iraq invasion. But have a better quality contract, which gave us bigger margin and last have a profit….

One of the first thing to do after successfully listing is to upgrade to better R&D facilities for innovation and creativity.


Another area need to expand on is advertising and promotion something that SKALI didn’t devote much resources to the past simply because did not have the funds to do so.
SKALI also issue press release, give media interview and hold event to generate free publicity in the newspaper.

After that, infrastructure need to be improved and expanded, this includes constructing yet another new data centre. SKALI need to rationalize and streamline the company to better reflect the core operation of company before go to listing…


SKALI is an e-business solution provider and that include having a content management system and a data centre. Those are the two main prongs of SKALI’S business model…..
